Ion Assault is a new shoot-'em-up that has been announced for Xbox Live Arcade.
It looks completely bonkers, as you "use the free energy particles that are abundant in space" to fight aliens rather than the standard weapons of old. The particles are then redistributed in space after they've been shot, allowing you to suck them up and use them again.

There are bosses to be dealt with, black holes to be fired and four screenshots to look at. It's looking pretty damn nice so far - what do you think?

I haven't heard of this title until now.

The screenshots look moi pretty, but neon rave-party games like that give me a headache.  I'll have to pass.

I hate jokes that rely on visual imagery.
