been watching this on the news, even more scary is the nuclear power plant that is about to blow due to the earthquake

Theres a fault line that runs directly through the middle of Japan. Gonna watch the news now.

That Japan earthquake was the first thing I heard about when my radio alarm woke me up this morning.

There have been 6 (or more) aftershocks in the 5-6 magnitude range.  That's the most serious problem.  Structures and landmass is left weakened by a horrible earthquake, and then continues to be kicked around by heavy aftershocks.

If there was ever a perfect opportunity to make a Godzilla joke, it's now.  But no one would find it funny.  Current fatality count is 184 and climbing.

If it's gonna happen somewhere it might as well be Japan, they are taught from an early age what to do and they have special buildings. If it happened in somewhere like London, the whole place would have just fell  over  :-\

The Tsunami's will do more damage than the quakes, havn't watched the news yet, might buy a paper today. Pretty sick last night, so mostly slept.

we know you are  :-* awful news about japan though, i'm really gutted for them. death count is in the thousands now and that nuclear plant exploded this morning. thankfully they had already evacuated for 10,000 metres all around the nuclear site so no casualties due to the explosion. god knows were the fallout will end up though.

Adorable porn.  Adoraporn?

Dammit, there's another one.

I seriously need to know what kind of dog this is.  It doesn't even look real.  It looks like some mad scientist turned Teddy Ruxpin into a pokemon.  Anyone have any idea?

I have a friend who lives in Korea, I'll ask her when I talk to her next time. I do remember her mentioning that in Korea it's extremely difficult to find a large breed dog, specifically because most living areas don't accept them, so this might not be a puppy but a "min-something or other"...as those are quite popular there.
