I am going to read all the reviews, confirm that this is exactly the sort of game I don't want to buy, buy it hoping it will be the sort of game I want to play, and then fill this forum with a tirade of bile and abuse because it is *exactly* the same as every COD before.

Have preordered from play together with new thesaurus to be used to support my self righteous anti COD campaign.

Stop press: Have cancelled preorder, burnt forty quid and eaten a kilogramme of salt. Am poorer and have record blood pressure and am ready to start my anti-COD campaign today!

Call of Duty: Black Ops developer, Treyarch "hasn't even thought" about the game's DLC plans, the developer's said.

Speaking to CVG in Los Angeles yesterday, community man Josh Olin said the development team's currently 100% focused on getting Black Ops out the door, though he did suggest that CoD Points - the game's new in-game currency - could carry over to the next instalment.

"We've really only thought as far as where we're going on vacation come December once we've shipped this game," he said. "The team is working so hard on this. We haven't even thought ahead to DLC plans."

On Black Ops' CoD points carrying over to the next Call of Duty game, Olin said: "It's definitely a possibility. We're of course honed in and focused on making Black Ops the best we can."

In the same interview the Treyarch man dismissed rumours of a pending multiplayer beta, telling us that the console trial is "internal only" for the moment.

Seeing as microsoft announced a timed exclusive at E3 for black ops DLC  on 360 i smell some bullshit here

The first Modern Warfare game is quality too, but 2 & 3 are the best in the series for me, Black Ops looks pretty tasty so far and you'll be able to get it super cheap as there'll no doubt be a big price war again like with MW2.

Tenner says you trade it in after a few weeks or don't buy it at all

I'm gonna buy it if I can get it cheap on release, we'll soon see, as for trading it after a few weeks, yeah most likely.   ;D

Gary Oldman and Ed Harris in Black Ops

Hollywood actors Gary Oldman and Ed Harris have done voice over work for upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops, Activision's confirmed.

Gary "the bad guy out of Leon" Oldman reprises his role as Viktor Reznov from Call of Duty: World at War.

Ed "the bad guy out of The Rock" Harris plays one of the game's main characters, CIA operative Jason Hudson.

The duo are joined by Batman: Dark Knight and Batman Begins writer David S. Goyer, who's come on board to provide script consultation and story development support.

"Oldman, Harris and Goyer are considered some of Hollywood's finest talents and they perfectly complement Call of Duty: Black Ops' ambitious and immersive single player experience," said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia.

"Their contributions have helped us to push the boundaries of our story telling and character development far beyond anything we have ever attempted before in the franchise."

Call of Duty: Black Ops is due out on 9th November. It'll probably be a big deal.
