I say we all 'posse-up'.   ;D

I know 2 of my local friends plan to play this with me.  That leaves (5?) spots open.  Drop-In-Drop-Out FTW!!!

Rightfully so.  The game is fan-f*cking-tastic!   ;D

I only played it for 3 hours or so, but I am already impressed with the balls it must have took to see this game to completion.  The scope is amazing, but the attention to detail is what really blows my skirt up.  You can literally just stand at the edge of a cliff and watch the world (people, animals, weather, etc.) for hours.  The game is so 'alive' it's almost creepy.

Perhaps even more impressive, is my experience was ONLY with the multiplayer.  Since Rockstar's server decided to not work yesterday, I decided to not start my singleplayer campaign.  I didn't want to risk corrupting my gamesave or losing stats by starting the game before linking it with my Social Club account and redeeming my preorder bonus code.  Instead, I just jumped into MP with 3 friends (something I NEVER do ... I always play SP first).

Even though we had no idea what we were supposed to be doing (or how to do it), it was still simple fun just co-existing in this beautiful world.  I never played GTAIV, so it took me some time to get used to the controls.  The menu system can be a little confusing.  I still don't quite understand how the different multiplayer "lobbies" work.  Sometimes I was by myself, sometimes with strangers, sometimes with friends.  Again ... probably something I would better understand if I had played GTAIV.

The Western vibe definitely gives me the desire to not attack this game with the same motivation as other games I play.  I look forward to taking my time and learning everything this game has to offer.  I have little desire to "complete" it anytime soon.   8)
