Red Dead Redemption 360 outsells PS3
65 per cent of title sold on Microsoft platform in UK, CVG reveals

65 per cent of Red Dead Redemption's sales in the UK since release have been on Xbox 360, GfK-ChartTrack has told CVG

35 per cent of sales of the title were on PS3.
Disney's Split/Second was also 360-led, with 56 per cent of sales on Microsoft's system.

The title hit No.1 in GfK-ChartTrack's UK All Formats chart this morning.

GfK-ChartTrack wouldn't speculate on whether the PS3 stock shortages affected the sales. CVG revealed last week that the title was unavailable on Sony's console across the UK on launch day.

"It's the biggest title of the year so far and assuredly 360-led," GfK-ChartTrack director Dorian Bloch told CVG this morning.

"It's the second No1 for Take Two in one year - after Bioshock 2. It's also the first Rockstar all-formats No.1 since GTA IV, which hit the top spot in week 18 back in 2008."

I love it, been playing it all weekend and haven't got very far because it seems to be so big. Spent almost an hour at one point just playing poker! I'm even enjoying the non-Shooting elements like roping horses etc.

Apart from a quick blast with Luke and Parky on friday night I haven't played the multiplayer yet. If anyone wants to invite me to their posse I'd like to give it a go though

Been playing since saturday and havent even started single-player yet, free roam is awesome spent about 9 hours just riding around doing challenges, hideouts, and hunting bears. the pvp games are pretty good too.

Sorry player v player matches, ie Grab The Bag, Shoot Outs etc

Did a few Gang Hideouts in a posse but i hate playing with randoms so didnt go into it much.

with all that's been said so far i have literally never wanted a game so badly. If i don't get my super elite this friday i will get this instead. well, that's if my current xbox is working by then

This game does sound awesome... so would you think this is worth the buy to have in the collection or just a rental?
