Microsoft has issued its latest round of Xbox 360 figures.
The main stat is that there are "now over 39 million Xbox 360 consoles around the world", supporting by the sale of 500 million games. It's not specified whether these games include Live Arcade or Games on Demand but it's still an impressive figure.

The week between Christmas and New Years Day was also the busiest ever for Xbox Live, as Microsoft says it was "adding a new member every second" and also saw a record 2.2 million concurrent members online.

Meanwhile, nearly 10 million people have used the Dashboard's non-gaming applications at least once (Facebook, Netflix, Sky, etc), which is half of Xbox Live's 20 million members.

So there you go, the latest round of Xbox 360 figures. Impressed?

Damn good numbers, especially for a company that is still relatively new to the console industry, The PS3 is around 5 million behind the 360 despite the 360's head start and will no doubt overtake the 360 pretty soon, much to the PS3 fanboys delight, but I know what i'll be using the most.

I would halve that figure due to replacement ones and some people have maybe 2 in their house? Like me!

I have two also, but i play enough for two people, so it swings in boundarouts  :)
