I can see why Jack may have chosen to do this.  As an artist, you constantly need to challenge yourself and your audience.  What better way to do this than to partner with one of the most hated performers of this generation?

It's a risk.  It's a risk of alienating his fans, and possibly destroying his own career.  But isn't that sort of the beauty of it?
