Not wanting to dampen their parade but any chance this could be a glitch, i know its rare to come accross one in this game  ;D ;D ;D

I haven't played Fallout NV (or Fallout 3 for that matter), but I did play the hell out of Oblivion.

If Fallout NV has stealth capabilities like Oblivion did (invisibility, nightvision, etc.) I could totally go through the game without killing anyone.

dfusioness

not me, was crap at invisibility  :-\

xnightcrawlerxx

has anyone else noticed that it freezes up alot....i hope its just the game and not my 360  :-\

Jaynestown

Fallout: New Vegas patch coming soon

A patch for openworld role-playing game Fallout: New Vegas will soon be released.

In a post on Bethesda Softworks' forum the company said work on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Steam patch was complete and waiting for approval at the platform holders.

The update is described as "comprehensive", and tackles an Xbox 360 save issue among other problems.

New Vegas, created by Obsidian Entertainment, scored an impressive 9/10 in Eurogamer's review.

However, players have reported technical issues with the post-apocalyptic shooter, such as graphical glitches and game freezes.

Good to hear - I got hooked on the storyline and then stopped playing Fallout New Vegas when freezes took over the game and characters started falling through floors at random instances.

Three more Fallout: New Vegas DLC packs confirmed
First add-on Dead Money also hitting PS3 and PC on February 22

Bethesda has announced that it plans to release three additional add-on packs for Fallout: New Vegas "in the coming months".

The packs weren't detailed, but the publisher said they'll launch simultaneously on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, and that it'll have info to share about them "soon".

The announcement of three new DLC packs doesn't come as a surprise. If recent trademark filings are anything to go on, they'll be called 'Honest Hearts', 'Lonesome Road' and 'Old World Blues'.

Bethesda also said that the first Fallout: New Vegas add-on pack, Dead Money, will hit PS3 and PC (via Steam and Direct 2 Drive) on Tuesday, February 22. Dead Money released for Xbox 360 in December.

Handshakes

I could possibly be swayed into getting the DLC. The mods are really lending the game replayability so far, so I wouldn't mind playing some new official content. How about a companion that I don't want to constantly crack in the face for their stupidity?

New Patch now available.

Meanwhile, the PS3 patch is not available in Europe yet, and the PC patch is not available for the 1C/Cenega edition either.

EDIT: It seems the Xbox 360 patch is suffering from the same problem as the PS3 one - after updating, add-ons such as Dead Money or the Classic Pack may stop working, making you lose all your DLC-related loot or to be teleported to Goodsprings if you were at the Sierra Madre. This is caused by the main master file - FalloutNV.esm - being loaded after the master files for any installed add-ons. PC players can fix this issue by altering the load order of the master files, either through the use of tools like the Fallout Mod Manager or by editing ini files directly. For Console users, it seems the you have to reinstall your DLCs (or just try to reinstall them, according to Occam's Razor - " You will still get the message about the DLC missing but load up your save as your normally do and it should start with all your DLC intact. Reinstalling was the first thing I did but I ever went past the missing DLC message to see if the game still worked until now").
