Wow, they all look pretty fucking amazing. I really can't wait til this comes out. The guys face in the top pic looks a bit 'over-detailed' if you know what I mean, but the rest all look great, this facial motion whatchamacallit thing looks like it could be a huge success :D

I know some people like going at games like this cold-turkey, so watch at your own discretion - this one's got more details on the story and the tech:

DFUSIONITE

so it says in the video that while it's set in an open world environment it's a much more linear experience than GTA or Red Dead, it's a lot more story focused. So it might be a game for you after all failed, you should reserve your judgement! I really like the look of it but i hope it isn't too linear.

maybe, but it's coming around the same time as EDF:IA ..... which is a much better game :P

Following on from Luke's post:

L.A. Noire release date confirmed

A leaked trailer for Rockstar's open world detective thriller L.A. Noire has revealed a 17th May release date.

It is unclear at this stage whether the date relates to a worldwide or a North American launch.

The video was pulled from YouTube following a copyright claim by Rockstar's parent company Take-Two.

L.A. Noire, announced years ago in 2005, is a 1940s crime thriller based around you rising through the ranks of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Central to everything is a magnificent-sounding motion-capture system, which records the look, voice and actions of real-life actors and then processes them into the game.

Such a level of detail enables a sophisticated interrogation mechanic, whereby players can judge facial expressions and behavioural quirks to determine whether a suspect is holding anything back. Creator Team Bondi is also said to have written an unprecedented 300 pages of script for the game.

L.A Noire UK release date officially confirmed
Title coming to EU on May 20

Rockstar has announced the release date of L.A Noire - confirming news which leaked as part of a new trailer over the weekend.

The promising crime thriller will hit the US on 360 and PS3 on May 17, and will be released in the EU and UK three days later.

"L.A. Noire breaks new ground for us," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. "Its intense blend of action and real detective work defies genre conventions to create a unique and
captivating thriller."

The game pits you as Cole Phelps, a decorated war veteran who rises through the ranks of the LAPD by solving gruesome murders and other crimes in post-WW2 Hollywood.
